The Tension Strap is a simple add-on to allow the DuoStrap to work on single-cut basses & guitars with standard strap pins. Attaches to each strap pin and pulled tight to create a spot for the 2nd shoulder strap to connect to. Comes in black only, and constructed of durable synthetic leather tips with seatbelt type webbing.

(Note: A strap lock system may be required to accommodate the thickness of 2 straps)

This Tension Strap made my Gruv Gear Duo Strap workable on my Tele, it is a must for single cutaway guitars. It came in just a couple days and it aided me to feel comfortable playing for hours. Thank you, Richard Bailey, guitarist for 63 years, bassist, former guitar and orchestra repairman, music store owner and manager.

This accessory to the DuoStrap is awesome. I own 5 diffrent duo straps and use the tension strap with 3 of them.
For me it adds flexibility the duo strap and eliminates having to loop the strap over the top horn.

This works very well to relieve shoulder stress. I injured my shoulder years ago and it was hurting when I played. This greatly reduced the pain.

It does not balance very well, however. This problem could be solved by adding a little bit of elastic to this system. The strap doesn't need to change, but if the "tension strap" had some give to it balancing the bass would be much easier.
