Tamed string resonance issues through high gain amp

Fantastic! It tamed my Agile Septor Elite 627 with EMG 81/85 active pickups playing through my Bugera TriRec. I was having crazy string resonance on the highest gain channel after I cranked the pickup height no matter what kind of palm muting or dampening I did with either of my hands. Slapped the string dampener basically right on the nut, dampening the strings on both sides of the nut, and then started playing some metal riffs, cranked my volume knob and the gain knob and she's singing with super responsive notes and beautiful sustain.

Get that motown thump sound by putting it at the bottom instead of at the neck, it’s more presentable than the classic cut up sponge

Cool little tool for the box.

Apparently some folks are expecting this product to make up for bad technique, all I can say is practice more. Does the trick for me. I just use it above the nut and slide it just over or right below for a nice mellow, clean and consistent muted tone that doesn't mess with your tuning or intonation. So easy to use, you can call on it for a few bars for effect and just slide it up and off and back again. Easier and way better looking than an chunk of foam or sponge.

Fretwraps really work

Bought this for my 5 String bass that was buzzing. After I put it on my bass, the buzzing was stopped. The fretwrap really works, I would've paid more for this. It is the right thickness. Strong material for its purpose.

I play a lot of fast paced metal at 180-260 bpm, I try to not use a noise gate because it kills sustain, but These fret wraps literally ARE a noise gate. They work very well. I used to tie hairbands/bandanas around my guitar to get the effect, but the wraps by gruv gear work better.
