Note: The Kapsule fits most electric guitars and basses. Certain models such as Thunderbird, Jaguar, V-shaped, and 335 semi-hollow body guitars may not fit.

Yep, you can really, actually check this thing under the plane. I've done it. Numerous times now. Survives like a champ! Excellent, quasi cello-like case that can double as a backpack style bag if you need it to. But the real selling point (aside from flying/checking) is the WHEELS. Don't carry your case anymore, schmuck! Wheel it. Pull it behind you like a suitcase. With a heavy 6 string bass, this feature is literally a life saver.
Was a great case - used it for 3 international tours this year but the zippers holding the guitar came off the tracks and is unable to close.
Disappointed since it fit my needs of carrying everything in one place but broke due to poor quality issues.

I have flown long international flights about 10 times with this case for a cruise ship gig. It has kept my expensive #1 bass wonderfully protected, and is easy to wheel around airports even when stuffed full. Most of the time I gate check, but have been forced to check as oversized luggage a few times too.
Unfortunately, the zippers just get absolutely shredded and now I'm left with a $400 gig bag that can't be zipped shut. When you remove the wheels of this bag, baggage handlers just drag it around and quickly destroy it the bottom of the case where the zippers are unprotected.
This case is a great idea and kept my bass from being damaged, but needs a redesign where a flap covers all zippers to protect from this kind of wear. If you fly with this bag, I recommend leaving the wheels on, hopefully yours will last longer than mine.
