Third Bag!

I couldn't be happier with my GruvGear GigBlade 2 bags. I've got one for bass, one for electric, and most recently the 335-size bag that is a perfect fit for my Godin Montreal Premiere hollow-body. The pockets work for everything I carry with me, including my iPad, in-ears, tuner, capo, and more. Thank you, GruvGear, for the awesome bags!

Gigblade 2

First off, I'm a working musician. Been playing professionally for the last 19+years, 4-5 nights per week. I also travel often so my guitar gets put into the overhead compartment a lot. Over the course of my career as a musician I've gone thru a TON of gig bags. Usually what fails first are the zippers, or rivets and straps holding the carry handles or shoulder straps. Often the interior isn't quite padded enough. Sometimes the denier nylon isn't strong enough or there aren't pads where the bag gets the most contact with the ground, so it wears out. SO FAR...I've been gigging with this bag for almost 2 months and I will say: THIS bag is probably the best bag I've found yet. I really like the side carry. I can put a backpack on my back, and sling this bag over my shoulder. Very cool concept! I really like the design and color: Black with Orange on the Gigblade 2. I love the "grippy" shoulder strap, and ordered a 2nd strap so I can carry it backpack style. My ONE complaint about this bag is this: The position of the carry handle. The way the handle is situated... it forces the top of the bag down. And if you have anything in that cool accessory pouch like I do (Zoom A3 multi-effects pedal and power supply) it totally drops. I think if the carry handle was moved just a little farther "up" the bag it might alleviate this issue. Is it a deal breaker? No. I still LOVE this bag. But it IS a little irritating when I have to carry it up stairs. It takes a nose dive. Other than that... For $200 it's the most expensive gig bag I've bought yet, but I was just about to buy a Mono M80 gig bag when I decided to go with the Gigblade 2, for just about $30 less. THIS has been an amazing gig bag so far. I've started it with a 5 star rating, but we'll see how it holds up. Only time will tell. But overall, I love it.

Great gig bag

I really like the gigblade for my basses. It’s sleeker and mor manoverable than most gig bags. The only thing I would add is an optional neck support for 5 and 6 string basses because the stock neck support only properly fits 4 strings but works very well with 5 and 6 strings regardless that the support is not the proper shape.

Totally Impressed!!!

I've played bass for too many years to say, and this one of the best purchases that I have made. Gruv Gear! you've got me!!!

Love at first flight

I have been looking for a good case for my Strat for a while and came upon the GigBlade and feel in love. As I am taller than six foot, I liked that it was set up to be at your side rather than as a backpack as the backpack style I either hit the top walking through doors or it hits the back of my legs. So this was a perfect solution when I had a week-long gig in Mexico City last year. Flying with this was a breeze and moving around in the airports was so easy! It does cost a pretty penny, but it is worth the price. The storage that it has is also very handy to stick cables and pedals and other misc. gear into and feel like you aren't leaving anything behind. I have recommended the GigBlade to many of my guitar playing friends.

"I found myself opting for the speed and convenience of the side-carry and wondering why no one had thought of this before."

Kevin Johnson,

"There is simply nothing else in the market that offers the GigBlade’s functionality, back relief, or storage. From exterior to interior, each element of the design has been meticulously engineered through research on actual gigging musicians and their needs."
