Juan Pablo Castillo, known by his stage name JP Castillo, is a Latin Urban/Pop artist native of San Jose, Costa Rica. Just a few months shy of his ninth birthday, JP moved with his family to Los Angeles, California where he grew up. JP’s earliest musical influences came within his own family. His father is a nationally recognized drummer and his mother is a singer, who toured and recorded with Joan Sebastian and Celia Cruz among others. He has had the opportunity to work alongside industry heavyweights including J Lo, Janet Jackson, The Jacksons and productions such as Dancing With The Stars on ABC.
After a few years of writing and touring, JP decided it was time for him to explore his own artistry. He began writing and developing his sound, which is branded by his vocal ability and charismatic stage presence.
In 2018 JP released his singles “Reemplazo” and “Jugar Al Amor” which reached over 3 million views on youtube. “I’ve had some doubters, but I don’t worry about them because the love and support I have is louder than any other noise. This is just the beginning!” JP has a drive second to none and he is looking forward to sharing more of himself through his music.
