Gruv Gear And Strictly 7 Guitars Announce S7G FretWraps Co-Brand

June 18, 2015

Orange County, California (June 18, 2015) – California-based music accessories manufacturer Gruv Gear is proud to announce a new licensing agreement with Strictly 7 Guitars (S7G), a world-renowned American builder specializing in handmade extended range guitars. The agreement has resulted in the launch of S7G FretWraps, a co-branded version of Gruv Gear’s popular string dampening accessory for guitars, basses, and other stringed instruments. Simultaneous launches are planned in USA and in Japan through S7G’s distributor, Shimamura Music.

“We’re excited to be working with Jim and his team at S7G,” says Gruv Gear's President and Founder Jay Baldemor. “We met at the recent NAMM Show and there was already an immediate demand even overseas,” adds Jay.

“We're excited to team up with Gruv Gear to introduce S7G FretWraps,” shares Jim Lewis, President of Strictly 7 Guitars. “We strive to build affordable, truly American-made instruments that we can be proud of, that will satisfy even the most discerning player, and S7G FretWraps is a perfect complement.”

Gruv Gear has been gaining widespread attention on the category-defining FretWraps. Many S7G players already use FretWraps on their 6-, 7- and 8-string guitars, and having the famous S7G logo on FretWraps is a welcome finishing touch. S7G and Gruv Gear share some mutual artists on their rosters, including guitarist Jim Hughes from the Djent / progressive metal band Chimp Spanner. Jim has been an avid FretWraps user and enjoys the benefits of reducing unwanted string noise on his guitars and basses.

Jay adds, “We’re looking forward to equipping every single S7G player and fan out there, and help continue to grow their loyalty with both brands worldwide.”
