FretWedge Headstock Dampener (2-Pack)

10

The new FretWedge is a great complementary product to our world-famous FretWraps! It slips under the strings right behind the nut to silence overtones and ringing noise in that area, especially on high-gain settings. Players currently use FretWraps for this purpose, but when sliding it up the neck to do two-handed tapping or soloing, the headstock is left un-muted. So the FretWedge stays in place while FretWraps can be moved around as you wish, they complement each other for a full 100% noise dampening solution!

Note: Fits most guitar and bass headstocks, check dimensions to ensure it will fit your instrument:

SM - 41.5mm wide (6-string guitar, 4-string bass)
MD - 47.5mm wide (7-string guitar, 5-string bass)
LG - 53mm wide (8-string guitar, 6-string bass)

Fretwedge

The fret wedge is well made, I have a strat with a cbs head stock. The fret wedge ‘ small’ is a little bit thick and pushes the strings up too high if pushed right against the nut. I might try to sand the back down a little bit and apply some thin double sided tape to keep it in place. It’s a good product and works well, it has significantly reduced the amount of unwanted harmonics and overtones I was getting. Do I wish it fit flush and looked integrated with my guitar fresh out of the box? Yes. GRUV Please keep me updated if you refine the fretwedge to fix these issues.

Got these and a fret wrap

Not a huge fan of these. Couldn’t fit them under either of my steel string acoustics, Baritone and and standard, the styrofoam was fairly weak and tore and it seem to affect the tuning on the instrument. That being said, I got a fret wrap at the same time and it worked amazingly behind the nut. Definitely recommend the fret wraps!

Expensive

Just measure and cut a piece of black foam 1/4" thick and use that.
