The new FretWedge is a great complementary product to our world-famous FretWraps! It slips under the strings right behind the nut to silence overtones and ringing noise in that area, especially on high-gain settings. Players currently use FretWraps for this purpose, but when sliding it up the neck to do two-handed tapping or soloing, the headstock is left un-muted. So the FretWedge stays in place while FretWraps can be moved around as you wish, they complement each other for a full 100% noise dampening solution!

Note: Fits most guitar and bass headstocks, check dimensions to ensure it will fit your instrument:

SM - 41.5mm wide (6-string guitar, 4-string bass)
MD - 47.5mm wide (7-string guitar, 5-string bass)
LG - 53mm wide (8-string guitar, 6-string bass)

FretWedge is a simple dampening accessory that sits behind the nut to reduce unwanted string resonance in the headstock area.

While FretWraps work on the playing side of the nut, FretWedge targets the string length behind the nut. They address different sources of unwanted resonance and can be used separately or together.

Absolutely. Many players combine them for maximum control over unwanted string noise, especially in studio environments.

FretWedge works with a wide variety of guitars and basses and installs without tools. It comes in 3 sizes for a universal fit with most instruments.

Not at all. Simply slide it under the strings right after the nut at the headstock and you're ready to go.

Great for an acoustic 7 string guitar

It’s been a great add on for my acoustic 7 string guitar. I’ve added these to all my extended range instruments such as my 8 string baritone guitars and 9 string guitars.

12 string bass

Used a fret wedge for my Schecter 12 string bass. Any amount of gain and it becomes quite unruly lol. Fret Wedge helps rein it in. No complaints. Excellent product. Excellent customer service.

Works great. Fits right under the strings on the headstock.

FretWedge Headstock Dampener (2-Pack)

You need a fret wedge. Yes, it works. YES, it is a perfect companion to the Fret Wrap so get one of those too. You may not notice the difference till you plug in your studio headphones. That is where you can really tell some difference in the way the Fret wedge does its job. A must for recording but you can use leave it on your axe. I do. My bass sounds so much better with a fret wedge.
