Leonid Maksimov is a leading professional bass player from Moscow, Russia.
He was born in 1985 and began his musical career in 2000 while in high school, later graduating from the Dunayevsky Music School, majoring in double bass.
Leonid has played in several rock bands over the years, joining legendary rock band Mavrin (Rus) in 2008, performing many hundreds of shows across Russia and CIS countries.
Leonid is a regular fixture of trade shows such as Music Moscow and NAMM Musikmesse; conducting master classes, promoting endorsed brands (including Warwick, EMG, Boss and Roland), and performing concerts.
In 2015 he became the bass player for famous Russian popular singer Linda, featuring on her album “Karandashi I Spichki”; produced by legendary English producer Haydn Bendall.
In 2017 he became the first Russian artist to join the “Bassist Alliance Project” in Italy. The same year he also signed with Russian label Soyuz Music as a solo artist and releasing his first single “Inception”.
Today Leonid teaches bass in a number of music schools, is an in-demand session musician and continues to play with several artists and bands including Linda, Mavrin, and Michael Night (USA), playing over 100 shows a year in Russia and Europe.
