Javad Day
Javad Day grew up in a home where music was a major part of everyday life. With a father who was world renowned for his gospel singing riffs and a mother who was very active in music it was obvious that Javad would play music. From the tender age of 3 years old he was banging on pots and pans mimicking his drum idols. As he grew older he played the drums as his first and main instrument of choice. Playing for churches and his school would soon make him not only popular with friends but with his much older peers of the profession. Javad did his first live recording at the Faith dome which seats well over 1500 people at the tender age of 7. He continued working in venues in his native Los Angeles California. At age 15 Javad decided to move on to the piano, which would later become his main instrument. He, at an accelerated rate became more than a comparable pianist playing with local gospel groups and doing television shows such as Bobby Jones gospel. By 17, Javad was the music director at a 5000 member church and was on his way. While playing at the church Javad was discovered by his bass player ALEX Evans, Alex was Fantasia barrino music director and he was very interested in helping him to go mainstream, and Javad more than made Alex proud. He helped arrange shows, played 5 keyboards as well as programmed show cues. From there the sky has been the limit. He has shared the stage with everyone from national GOSPEL/ CHRISTIAN ARTISTS TO LEGENDS and ICONS including Charlie Wilson, Chaka Khan, Prince, Stevie wonder as well as the Backstreet Boys. The list goes on and onÌ¢‰âÂå_ Javad is currently musician/Musical director for Ciara and Estelle and he is playing and touring with Keysha Cole.
